Why do we train?

Evolution outdoors is a lifestyle program based around the idea that we  are inherently dynamic beings with bodies designed to move in multiple directions in a balanced and co-ordinated way. Part of this idea also takes into account that our bodies will adapt over time to any given stimulus. For this reason the introduction of a variety of activities (known as cross training) to challenge the body and mind becomes all important.

The program was first conceived in 2000. Our first step as part of creating this concept was coming up with a model of what we termed 'the balanced human being'. It looked at all the facets that make up a harmonised, healthy, integrated, and present person. From this foundation evolution outdoors was developed and evolution starts at 6am was born.

The primary pillars of the program were sustainability, variety, affordability, and community .

The program has been an evolution in process and almost 10 years later boasts numerous groups in locations throughout Sydney and Brisbane with activities from kayaking to yoga, boxing groups to pilates, medicine ball circuits to foam roller posture classes.  

We also recognised that the social aspect of training is imperative and as such were inspired by the idea of creating a community of trainers and clients who love to see the sunrise together, train hard and have fun doing it.
